2. General Update Overview
    This is a major version upgrade. Please follow the upgrade guidelines strictly, as it differs greatly from previous updates!!!
    Compatibility issues may occur on certain devices during the update process. Please try another computer if problems persist. For further assistance, contact: yangyida@paintaudio.com.

    The offline web editor **editer.html** is released alongside this firmware version to facilitate quick custom configuration.
    Note that the web editor only supports editing up to 4 commands under each keytimes item. For more commands and advanced settings, please edit via pageX.txt.
    It only supports configuration of PC, CC, CCT, NT, Preset, Time Engine, System Common and Realtime commands. HID and System EX commands must be edited in pageX.txt.

    Fixed abnormal screen color rendering caused by unstable external power supply.
FW5.0 Release Date: 2026-05-18

1. Independent KPP dedicated firmware versions are integrated into the main program, switchable via dedicated power-on key combinations.
2. Tuner function is added to KPP Mode, enabling tuner data display on MIDI Captain screen.
3. Optimized page history record function for MIDI Captain Blue/Gold/STD, MINI6 and NANO4; the device automatically loads the last used page after power-on.
4. Expanded GeekMode page quantity from 16 to 20 pages for MIDI Captain Blue/Gold/STD.
5. Fixed chip memory overflow and system crash issues caused by rapid page switching.
6. Screen refresh logic is separated from key scanning and command transmission, ensuring screen refresh does not interfere with command execution.
7. Fixed the bug that battery charging switch could not be configured in SuperMode.
8. Merged Normal Mode and SuperMode. Unbound page flipping functions originally assigned to the two rightmost keys in pre-FW4.0 SuperMode. Page turning is now controlled by [preset][value_inc] and [preset][value_dec] commands for fully user-defined settings.
9. Added configuration items: shortX_name, longX_name, short_upX_name, long_upX_name. Users can name each key action command, and the names will be displayed on screen.
10. Reduced excessive delay between consecutive multi-command transmissions.
11. Increased expression port scanning frequency for MIDI Captain Blue/Gold/STD, and added maximum & minimum value settings for expression ports.
12. Added PC Bank Select command to support patch switching beyond the standard PC 0-127 range.
13. Added PC_Opennum parameter to set the default autoBANK PC value on startup.
14. Introduced CC command grouping function, supporting program-based CC value increment and decrement adjustment.
15. Added tapcountMIN and tapcountMAX parameters to define the value range of tap tempo.
16. Built-in Auto Tap function for CC commands, which calculates and outputs corresponding values via two pedal taps, perfectly compatible with devices like BOSS GT1000.
17. Extended LED modes: besides original normal, tap and select modes, select1~select5 modes are added for more exclusive key interaction logic.
18. Expanded command sets based on original PC, CC, NT and HID commands, including System Exclusive, System Common and Realtime commands. Enriched HID multimedia commands: vol_up, vol_down, play_pause, stop, prev_track, next_track. Preset and Time Engine functions are embedded as independent command modes without fixed mode restrictions.(Does not support MTC timecode and MIDI Clock commands that require continuous precise timing)
19.The wallpaper function has been removed in this update. A number of previous instability and system crash issues were largely caused by this feature.
20. More external control commands are supported. Refer to **FW5.0 Command Specification Document** for full details.
